The wiper ring profile TAR has the task to prevent the contamination ingress during the drive-in movement of the piston rod. It consists of a sliced body and a stainless spiral spring, that is inserted in a groove. The wiper lip from PTFE is inelastic. On that score it proved especially well in extremely dirty working conditions.
Because of the unliteral division and the spiral spring, the wiper lip is laid out on the circumference of the piston rod all the time.
The small width of the division walks slanting to the center line and do not imply any disadvantages.
The known, advantageous attributes of PTFE become effective at this scraper. They ensure low friction, high chemical and abrasion resistance, good dry operating attributes, no swelling, high temperature resistance and insensitivity against mud. The static and the dynamic coefficient of friction are almost the same. Thereby the wiper supports a calm andregular movement, even at the lowest surface speeds.
