The AKR profile is a double-acting wiper with two sealing lips. Its outer lip has the task of scraping off dust, dirt and other solids so that they do not enter the lubrication system. This prevents scoring on the piston rod and guide and extends the service life of the seals. In addition, the sealing lip on the medium side reduces the residual oil film on the piston rod. The AKR wiper ensures a technically clean finish on the cylinder.

Material
Standard material: NBR or FKM with a hardness of 80-85 Shore A. Also available in PUR 94 Shore A to improve the wiping effect and stability. Special compounds are also available for special applications or incompatible media.

Installation instructions
The wiper AKR can be mounted in closed grooves without any problems. An oversize on the outer diameter ensures the necessary tight fit. Two variations are possible for the design of the installation space. On the one hand, the retaining lug can be provided up to the first step on the AD, allowing the A1R and AKR wipers to be substituted for each other, provided the groove design has been made so that the wiper lips are free and do not abut metal components. Alternatively, the retaining lug can be designed in such a way that it extends over the entire back to the base of the scraper lip. In this case, it must be ensured that the retaining lug does not touch this lip.
Other
To avoid damage, the wipers must not be pulled over sharp edges and corners. In special cases of application (high temperature, speed, specific pressure load or the use of special media), please contact our application technology department.
