General
The ice scraper AWR consists of a metal housing, a thin brass and elastomer lip. The scraper is used where other scrapers wear out quickly due to the harsh conditions. The metal lip is designed to scrape off firmly adhering contaminants or orifice particles, while the secondary elastomer lip removes e.g. loose dust particles and water. Due to the floating installation of the metal lip, an axial offset of the rod is permitted. For higher temperatures and aggressive media, the metal wipers are equipped with a stainless steel and FKM lip.

The wiper ring profile AWR is resistant to hydraulic fluids based on mineral oil, hardly inflammable HFA, HFB, HFC fluids, water, lyes and greases.

If required, the combination stainless steel/stainless steel/FKM is also available.

Installation instructions
The metal wiper ring AWR has an oversize on the outside diameter, so that in combination with the housing bore tolerance H8, an interference fit results. To prevent damage to the wiper lip, it must not be pulled over sharp edges. For special application conditions, please contact our application engineers.
