The colloquial milk pipe fitting was originally developed to connect milk pipes to milk hoses. In the meantime, however, it has been used in the entire food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Depending on the medium and temperature, the seals used in today's fittings are mainly NBR, EPDM, MVQ, FKM and PTFE. There are 3 standard profile designs according to DIN 11851: standard (A), with collar (B) and in high design (C).
