DEP
The pneumatic-complete piston, profile DEP is a compact piston with integrated end-position cushioning. With this profile a metal disk was vulcanized imbedded in NBR, which serves as a back-up part. This profile combines three functions in itself: Sealing, guiding and cushioning.
ADVANTAGES ARE
- easy to install on a piston rod, using screw thread, washer and screw nut
- no additional sealing elements are necessary
- immediate response, do to included ventilation channels
- lubrication film retentive dimension on the sealing lip, for low friction and non shock operation
- suitable for maintained, as well as oil-free compressed air (after initial lubrication)

For all single action pneumatic cylinders with shock absorbing action (end-position damping, if not too overcharged share forces occur.

MATERIAL
Standard elastomer on NBR-basis, with a hardness of approximately 71 Shore A, with an embedded vulcanized non-metal disc. Constructions made of FKM and EPDM are possible, depending on tool design.
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
The complete piston DEP gets screwed together on a piston rod, using screw thread, washer and screw nut. A locking device against loosening of the screw, fitting should be used. With application in oil-free and dry air, the complete piston, as well as the cylinder have to be treated with an initial lubrication. Please use a suitable long-term lubrication.
