General
The OBP profile is a reciprocating sealing element with a strong cross-section for heavy hydraulics. It consists of a high Shore hardness O-ring for static pressure and a PTFE ring for dynamic sealing. The O-ring gives the seal the pretension and the necessary elasticity. Since it is only used statically, all O-ring materials can be used. Depending on the choice of material, high temperature and good chemical resistance can be achieved. The well-known good properties of the material PTFE come into their own in the dynamically acting sliding ring. The static and dynamic coefficient of friction are almost the same. This ensures smooth movement without stick-slip even at low sliding speeds. Perfect start-up is ensured even after a long period of standstill.

all hydraulic fluids, e.g. water, mineral oils, water-oil emulsions, flame-retardant hydraulic oils (according to choice of O-ring material)

- Seal ring: modified PTFE compound
- O-ring: NBR (alternatively FKM, EPDM, MVQ)

Installation instructions
To avoid damage to the seal, it must not be pulled over sharp edges. Due to the profile cross-section, the piston must be split. In special applications (high temperature, speed, specific pressure load or use in water, HFA, HFB fluids etc.) please contact our application engineering department.
