Z5P
The profile Z5P combines two functions: sealing and guiding. The piston seal consists of two opponent directed groove rings with a guide ring between them. Hence it is suitable for reprocal impinged pistons.

ADVANTAGES ARE
- smooth running thanks to optimized sealing lip geometry that retains the lubrication film
- no contact of piston and cylinder, on that score scoring is prevented for light metall and plastic cylinders
- long service life after initial lubrication
- also usable with dry and oil-free air
- available in single-acting construction (Z7P) for the same fitting area
- simple mounting

Operating range chiefly for the sealing of pistons in pneumatic cylinders and valves. The seal is unsuitable for the intake of shear forces.

MATERIAL
Standard compound is a NBR-based elastomer with a hardness of approx. 78 Shore A. Special compounds are available for high resp. low temperature applications.

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
The profile Z5P is mountable trouble-free at one-piece pistons by covering. To avoid damage to the sealing lip, the seals should not be drawn over sharp edges during installation. So, the edges at the piston and the cylinder liner should be rounded. Before the mounting of the piston, a closed lubricating film should be spread out. Hence, the dry operation and a long service life are ensured.
