Z8P
The profile Z8P is an extra small-built lip ring, which is designed for the sealing of pistons in pneumatic cylinders and valves. The piston seal is also usable in the fitting areas of the pneumatic groove ring Z4P. The standard measures of the profile Z8P correspond to the cylinder diameters of ISO 3320 resp. CETOP RP 52 P, RP 43 P and RP 53 P.
ADVANTAGES ARE
- smooth running due to small seal height
- low stiction on the strength of a small cross section, thus low dynamic friction
- best running qualities due to the optimizing of the lip geometry and the use of the tried and tested SFR®-compounds
- lip ring design gives high functional reliability
- qualified for cylinders with stop position damping
- long service life after thorough initial lubrication
- even usable in dry or oil-free pressure air
- very simple mounting in the seal grooves
APPLICATION RANGE | |
working pressure: | ≤ 1,6 MPa (16 bar) |
working temperature: | - 20 °C to + 80 °C NB580 - 35 °C to + 80 °C PU007 |
surface Speed: | ≤ 1,0 m/s pneumatics |
media: | lubricated as well as dry and oil-free pressure air after initial lubrication |
The profile Z8P is especially well-suited as cylinder seal in small-built pneumatic cylinders.
MATERIAL
The compound is the proven and well-tried, NBR-based special elastomer SFR® with a hardness of approx. 80 Shore A. Ist advantages are the good running qualities in the range of semi-fluid friction. Special compounds are available for high resp. low temperature applications. The deliverable dimensions with the polyurethane compound PU007 are listed in a separate table.
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
The profile Z8P is mountable trouble-free in the grooves by pulling over. To avoid damage to the seal, it should not be drawn over sharp edges during installation. So, the edges at the piston and the cylinder liner should be rounded. Before the mounting of the piston, a closed lubricating film should be spread out. Hence, the dry operation and a long service life are ensured. For the guiding of the piston we recommend our compatible piston guiding band profile F2S. The outside diameter of the piston is to achieve in a way, that the given gap sizes of profile F2S arise.
