General
Profile ZCP is a double-acting piston/cylinder seal. It consists of an elastomer body made of NBR in the centre. A fabric with a special NBR/SFR compound is laminated into the running surface. This fabric reinforcement maintains a good lubricating film between the seal and the cylinder wall, even after extended downtimes under high pressure. This lubrication deposit reduces the breakaway force and considerably improves the service life of the seal. To prevent gap extrusion, the profile is additionally reinforced on the outer diameter with a polyacetate-based support ring on each side. Standard materials:
- Sealing ring: NBR as well as NBR special compound with fabric insert
- Backing rings: POM (polyacetate)

Installation instructions
To avoid damage to the seal, it must not be pulled over sharp edges. The compact seal profile can be mounted on one-piece pistons from a diameter of 60 mm, below that we recommend a split groove design. For special applications (high temperature, speed, specific pressure load or use in HFA, HFB fluids etc.) please contact our application engineering department.

For use in HFA, HFC and HFB fluids, please note the temperature limits of -5°C and +60°C.
