General
Profile ZKP is a single-acting piston/cylinder seal and consists of an elastomer body made of NBR. A fabric with a special NBR/SFR© compound is laminated into the running surface. As a result, a good lubricating film is maintained between the seal and the cylinder wall, even after extended downtimes under high pressure. This lubrication deposit reduces the breakaway force and considerably improves the service life of the seal. To prevent gap extrusion, the profile is additionally reinforced on the outer diameter with a polyacetate-based support ring. On the face or pressure side, there is a circumferential, interrupted contour which ensures uniform pressurisation. Set code SN251 = support ring slotted, set code = SN252 endless support ring

Installation instructions
To avoid damaging the seal, it must not be pulled over sharp edges. For the compact sealing profile ZKP we recommend a split groove design. For special applications (high temperature, speed, specific pressure load or use in HFA, HFB fluids etc.) please contact our application engineering department.

For use in HFA, HFC and HFB fluids, please note the temperature limits of -5°C and +60°C.
