RSR
The profile RSR rotary sealing set is a combination of a high-strength thermoplastic slide ring with particularly stable thermic properties and an elastomer expander ring. A special contact surface geometry at the inner diameter of the slide ring with an altering pitch optimates the lubrication of the seal. In both friction resistance and wear, this seal is superior to comparable systems. The prestressing element has a rectangular crosssection and avoids, in contrast to O-rings, possible pumping inside the fitting area. Moreover it guarantees a higher density. Even at high pressures, back-up rings for the avoidance of extrusion are not necessary owing to the special slide ring compound. At the same time, it is possible to take maximum advantage of the diameter play between rotor and stator without any functional impairment. This seal can also be used as a final exterior sealing. In case of doubt, however, we recommend the use of the profiles C5R or C9R.

Primarily for alternating sealing of rotary applications in rotating tracks, axes of machine tools, pivot drives and hose reels.
MATERIAL
The compound WK060, a high strength thermoplastic based on polyamide, is used as racematerial. As standard, the elastomer prestressing element consists of our well-known NBR compound with 70 Shore A. However, it can be replaced by FKM or HNBR. The temperature range hereby can be extended up to +130°C.
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
A snap installation is possible to a rotor diameter of 50 mm. Below that, we recommend divided fitting rooms. The rotary seal profile RSR is construed for fitting areas according to DIN ISO 7425.
