BUR
The HPU rod seal BUR is a compact seal with integrated back-up-ring within the sealback. This seal is often used inside a seal system, as a cushion gasket set in front of the mainseal, to keep away pressure peaks. Pressure peaks up to 100 MPa (1000 bar), within construction machinery cylinders are no rarity, for such extreme strains the BUR was developed. Through its special design, the BUR is able to return a pressure to the system, which can build up between cushion- and main gasket. This sealing profile can be used as a single- as well as a tandem assembly.

Mainly sealing of construction machinery cylinders and mobile hydraulic.
MATERIAL
Abrasion resistant HPU Polyurethane-compound PU008 with a hardness of approximately 93 Shore A. Back-up-ring WK019 for ISO 5597/I, and WK060 for ISO 7425/II.
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
To ensure a perfect function the BUR must have a certain play in axial direction (look at measure scale). So that the sealing lips won?t be damaged, don?t pull them over sharp edges. Normally the BUR can be installed within closed grooves. In case of extreme width of profile or diameter measures, installing tools should be used. Normally for the guidelines shaft basic fit should be laid out on H8/f7.
