ODR
The rod seal set ODR is a single acting seal element consisting of a PTFE ring for the dynamic pressure contact (primary sealing) and a O-ring as an elastic pretension element (secondary sealing). In this combination the ODR meets the requirements, which the seals must agree in regard to safety at work and environmental protection of hydraulic systems. The sealing set shows no dynamic leakage at any working conditions by professional using. It is static leakproofed at standstill of the machines. By the installation of the ODR in tandem order and in association with a double wiper ring (AYR), the sealing set reaches its optimal sealing effect.

PLEASE NOTE
For special applications it is recommendable to use a sealing cross section, reduced or stepped up, that differs from standard. In these cases replace the standard cross section code (e.g. "D") by the desired one (e.g. "C" or "E").
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
To avoid damage to the sealing lip, the seals should not be drawn over sharp edges during installation. In normal case the ODR is mountable on closed grooves from a diameter of 30 mm. The fitting areas are to be deburred and to be cleaned. The piston rods must own lead-in chamfers. For special cases of application (high temperatures, speed, specific pressure, use in water, HFA-, HFB-fluids etc.) please get in contact with our consultancy service.
