General
Profile ZRR is a single-acting compact rod seal and is mainly used in cylinders and hydraulic rams. The ZRR profile has an elastomer body with a special fabric vulcanised into the running surface. This fabric reinforcement maintains the lubricant film under the seal even after a long service life and high pressure. This significantly reduces the breakaway torque during start-up as well as wear. To prevent gap extrusion, the profile is additionally reinforced on the inner diameter with a polyacetate-based support ring. Set code SN251 = support ring slotted, set code SN252 = endless support ring

Standard materials:
- Seal ring: NBR compound
- Tread: special NBR fabric
- Support ring: POM (polyacetate)

Installation instructions
To ensure proper function of the seal, the groove width must be larger than the seal width. To prevent damage to the seal, it must not be pulled over sharp edges. The compact rod seal can be installed in closed grooves by snap-in mounting. For special applications (high temperature, speed, specific pressure load or use in HFA, HFC, HFB liquids etc.) please contact our application engineering department.
Other
When used in HFA, HFC and HFB fluids, please note the temperature application limits of -5°C and +60°C.
