The profile ZUR represents a single-acting compact rod seal and is mainly used in cylinders and hydraulic rams. The ZUR profile consists of a polyurethane material with an NBR O-ring in the groove as a preload element. To prevent gap extrusion, the profile is additionally reinforced on the inner diameter with a polyacetate-based support ring.

Installation instructions
To ensure proper functioning of the U-Cup, the width of the groove must be greater than the width of the seal. To prevent damage to the seal, it must not be pulled over sharp edges. The compact rod seal can be installed in closed grooves by snap-in mounting. To prevent a build-up of drag pressure, the guide bush must be provided with a swirl groove when used in mineral oil. For special applications (high temperature, speed, specific pressure load or use in HFA, HFB fluids etc.) please contact our application engineering department.

For use in HFA and HFB fluids, please observe the temperature limits of -5°C and +50°C.
