General
PTFE high-performance rotary shaft seals of type B with 2 sealing lips in an aligned tandem arrangement. In addition to the advantages of design A, this redundant arrangement of thermoelastic sealing lips is used when higher tightness is required and for contaminated media. The seal consists of a stainless steel housing, a static sealing element made of FKM and 2 sealing lips in the same direction made of one or various special application-modified PTFE compounds.

Installation instructions
When installing WHLDP seals, careful handling is important to avoid damaging the seal lip. If the seal is installed directly on the shaft, insertion chamfers must be provided at the shaft end. These must be free of notches, sharp edges or rough machining grooves. The diameter of the lead-in chamfer must be smaller than the unloaded diameter of the sealing lip. The angle of the bevel should be as flat as possible within the given range.
